Easter Vigil
April 20, 2019
8:00pm – 9:30pm
The first Eucharist of Easter is celebrated this night following the ancient Vigil Service. Remember that as the crucifix is the icon of the Lord's death, the Eucharist is both the symbol and sacrament of the resurrection. We do not receive the dead Christ here, but the true flesh and blood of the glorified Christ. His flesh is not fleshy, yet it makes human flesh alive unto eternal life. It cleanses us from sin and death, and imparts life, hope, consolation and salvation to us.
